A solid upgrade over the Lounger
"I mostly love the update to this style of shoe over the wool longer I have had before. The Cruiser is a more robust shoe with a thicker sole and more padded, double layer upper that includes a lining through most of the shoe where the lounger was just a single layer of wool. It’s too early to tell, but I suspect this shoe will retain its shape and appearance longer than the Lounger. The padding around the collar could be slimmer, to my eyes this interrupts the clean profile I’m looking for in a slip on. There is a flaring that happens around the collar with every footstep, I didn’t notice this on the Lounger so much, but the extra material on the Cruiser exaggerates this a little. But this is a nitpicking observation. I’d love it if the the elastic parts were moved further outboard leaving a slightly wider ‘toungue’ section, but again, this is a style preference. All in all a great and supremely comfortable shoe that is surprisingly good for summer despite what you might think about wool and warmth."
