ALLBIRDS LAUNCHES THE COURIER, A NEW TAKE ON OLD-SCHOOL STYLE AND CLASSIC COMFORT
The Courier delivers style, comfort, and sustainability in one versatile package
Today, Allbirds introduced the Courier, an expressive, vintage-inspired sneaker that brings together the brand’s signature comfort and suite of natural materials in an easy-to-wear silhouette. The Courier puts a new twist on old-school trainers with added flare, comfort, and sustainability specs to deliver a shoe perfect for bouncing between locations and occasions.

The Courier is available in five colorways, each with a multi-material, layered design featuring intricate stitching and overlays, and a subtle scoop detail on the midsole. These stylistic twists are created with natural materials that boost both function and sustainability:

The upper is made with an organic cotton canvas, a lightweight yet durable material great for everyday wear. Allbirds uses cotton grown without chemicals or pesticides, creating a healthier working environment for farmers and their land. The upper also features a TENCEL™ Lyocell (aka eucalyptus tree fiber) ripstop, replacing the petroleum-based nylon often found in standard ripstop materials. This mix of materials adds interest and expression to the upper, easy to style up or down.

The shoe is lined with a TENCEL™ Lyocell / recycled polyester blend. This blend delivers elasticity and a soft, breathable feel that is comfortable with or without socks.

Allbirds’s SweetFoam™ midsole delivers a cushioned, forgiving ride for long days on your feet. SweetFoam™ is made with sugarcane-derived Green EVA, unlike typical fully plastic, petroleum-based midsole foams often used in footwear.

A strategically-placed outsole made with natural rubber lends flexibility and durability. It features a smooth wave pattern for functional traction, brought to life in a style-forward way. And unlike synthetic rubber which is petroleum-based, the natural rubber used is obtained from the latex vessels of rubber-producing plants.
