ALLBIRDS LAUNCHES THE COURIER, A NEW TAKE ON OLD-SCHOOL STYLE AND CLASSIC COMFORT
The Courier delivers style, comfort, and sustainability in one versatile package.
Today, Allbirds introduced the Courier, an expressive, vintage-inspired sneaker that combines the brand’s signature comfort with a range of natural materials in an easy-to-wear silhouette. The Courier gives a new twist on old-school trainers with added flair, comfort, and sustainability specifications, making it perfect for bouncing between locations and occasions.
“Versatility is the hallmark of the Courier. We know our customers lead dynamic, on-the-go lifestyles, so they need footwear that looks and feels great across all sorts of settings,” said Ashley Comeaux, Vice President of Product Design, Allbirds. “We’ve taken our Allbirds design ethos of simplicity and unparalleled comfort and elevated it with a heritage look that can fit the many moments of our customers’ busy lives.”
The Courier is available in five colourways, each with a multi-material, layered design featuring intricate stitching and overlays, and a subtle scoop detail on the midsole. These stylistic twists are created with natural materials that enhance both function and sustainability:

Upper: Made with organic cotton canvas, a lightweight yet durable material ideal for everyday wear. Allbirds uses cotton grown without chemicals or pesticides, creating a healthier working environment for farmers and their land. The upper also features a TENCEL™ Lyocell (eucalyptus tree fibre) ripstop, replacing the petroleum-based nylon typically found in standard ripstop materials. This mix of materials adds interest and expression to the upper, making it easy to style up or down.

Lining: The shoe is lined with a TENCEL™ Lyocell/recycled polyester blend. This blend provides elasticity and a soft, breathable feel that is comfortable with or without socks.

Midsole: Allbirds’ SweetFoam™ midsole delivers a cushioned, forgiving ride for long days on your feet. SweetFoam™ is made with sugarcane-derived Green EVA, unlike typical fully plastic, petroleum-based midsole foams often used in footwear.

Outsole: A strategically placed outsole made with natural rubber provides flexibility and durability. It features a smooth wave pattern for functional traction, presented in a style-forward way. Unlike synthetic rubber, which is petroleum-based, the natural rubber used is obtained from the latex vessels of rubber-producing plants.
