  • Castor bean oil-based insole foam
  • Some models may include a wool-lined insole instead of the TENCEL™-lined insole featured in the image

Care Guide

1. Remove the laces and insoles.

2. Place shoes in a delicates bag (pro tip: a pillowcase works too).

3. Choose a gentle cycle with cold water & mild detergent.

4. Shake out any excess water & set aside to air dry.

5. Shoes will regain their original shape with one or two wears.

"This is my fifth pair of Tree Runners. They are so comfortable from day one (no breaking in required). They are light, so great for travel. I have plantar fasciitis, so I replace the innersole if I think I am going to be doing a lot of walking. They wash really well (in the washing machine). Love them!"

"Just purchased my sixth? pair of Tree Runners. Love these multipurpose shoes. Still have some from when the colour range was more eclectic. Love the simple design that is great for bunions and orthotics and for going sock free - and for washing them in the machine. I have Wool Runners too but Tree Runners are my go to shoe for travelling."

Worst customer experience ever. Bought

"Worst customer experience ever. Bought a repeat colour and style pair but received a completely different shade instead. When I requested an exchange I was told they updated the shade without notifying anyone and that I needed to order a different colour name if I wanted to get the original shade I got a few years ago. They agreed to exchange the shoes but then sent me inferior price range style without adjusting the price I paid for the original pair and without letting me know of this in advance and I received a pair of worn shoes with crease and dirt marks. Not sure what happened with the original allbirds quality and customer service. Is the good service only in New Zealand? My previous orders x3 were in NZ and everything was perfect with them."

"I've had these for 5 months and worn them alot, probably 5 out of 7 days of the week. Don't get me wrong they are wonderfully comfortable shoes. They wash up well, I've washed mine 3 times. The reason I give 1 star is because they are showing the signs of holes in the toes on both shoes. Why not put a bit of extra reinforcement in the toe area? It sounds like this isn't a problem for just me. Disappointed that I had to pay so much for a pair of shoes that won't even see me out a year"

Most comfortable travel shoes I have ever worn!

"Allbirds Womens TreeRunner Shoe. These are my father has comfortable shoes I have ever taken overseas. I used them for all day walking and light hiking. I have wide problem feet and I was pain-free! The design eliminates rubbing off the shoe. I wore them with without socks. They dried out quickly when they became wet in heavy rain. Light as a feather, they packed down extremely well when travelling with carry on only, and are a great all-round shoe. Packing something to wear with a dress or out for dinner and that's all you need!"
